Victoria Falls to Okavango Delta Safari
Tour Description
From Johannesburg, you will fly to Victoria Falls International Airport where you will be met by your Guide and he will transfer you to your hotel set on the banks of the Zambezi River.
Your guide will advise you on the timing of the activities that are included as well as giving you advice regarding the many other activities that you could choose from while you are in Victoria Falls.
You have a few hours to explore the facilities at this very new hotel and then you may freshen up in the late afternoon because tonight you will enjoy a spectacular Dinner Cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Your guide will transfer you to your vessel, the Malachite, in time for the launch before sunset.
After your leisurely breakfast on the deck overlooking the Zambezi River, your guide will transfer you to the entrance of the Victoria Falls World Heritage Site.
Enjoy a one to two hours guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls and the rainforest. This is the only included activity today and you may explore the area for the rest of the day and do some shopping in the local craft markets or do a few more activities.
We highly recommend that you consider lunch at the Lookout Cafe with a spectacular view over the Batoka Gorge. For your dinner, you may consider the truly African experience at the Boma where you will be entertained with African music while you enjoy your meal.
You will check out of the hotel after breakfast and your guide will transfer you from Victoria Falls to the border with Botswana at Kazungula, Once you have processed through the immigration procedures, you will continue on to the town of Kasane where you check-in at the Chobe Safari Lodge.
You have time to enjoy a leisurely lunch on the pool deck before you board the boat for the afternoon cruise on the Chobe River. This cruise lasts for three hours and will see many species of animals and birds as they come to the water for a drink in the late afternoon. The cruise finishes after you have enjoyed the amazing sunset over the Chobe River.
Yor expansive dinner at Chobe Safari Lodge is included tonight.
It is an early start this morning to do an early morning Game Drive in the Chobe National Park commencing before sunrise. We spend up to three hours traversing the Chobe National Park along the Chobe Riverfront in search of the animals in their natural habitat.
We return for breakfast at the hotel and check out after breakfast. The hotel shuttle will transfer you the short distance to Kasane Airport where you will board your charter flight to fly into the vast Okavango Delta. You land at the private airstrip on the island close to your lodge.
Transfer the short distance to Moremi Crossing and check into your luxury suite before enjoying lunch on the deck.
Your guide and lodge manager will then brief you on the schedule of activities over the next two days. In the afternoon you will go out on the first wildlife viewing activity on the floodplains of the Okavango Delta returning to enjoy your dinner while listening to the sounds of the African night.
You have two scheduled wildlife viewing activities today.
During the middle of the day, you may relax around the pool and enjoy a scrumptious lunch while viewing the numerous species of birds that inhabit this region.
You have another wildlife excursion in the late afternoon returning for a relaxing evening around the fire pit.
We have time for the last wildlife excursion this morning before returning for breakfast.
After breakfast, we check out and transfer to the private airstrip where the charter flight is waiting to take you to Maun.
In Maun you will process through the immigration area and board the scheduled flight to Johannesburg where you safari officially ends.
