Enjoy your private fully guided spectacular family holiday from Cape Town through the beautiful Garden Route to the Malaria Free Safari destination, Kariega Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.
Spend four nights in Cape Town and the beautiful Cape Winelands to enjoy the included guided tours and sample some of the great cuisine and wines from this region. Then explore Route 62 and visit the famous Cango Caves near Oudtshoorn before we head down to the Garden Route to enjoy fun activities in the coastal region.
Your journey continues to Kariega Private Game Reserve where you enjoy three nights staying on a full board basis and do two Game Drives each day to view the African wildlife in their natural habitat.
After three days of immersing yourself in nature, we retrace our steps along the Garden Route back to Cape Town and the Steenberg Hotel. Explore the beautiful wine estate on the mountain bikes and have a relaxed dining experience in the either Trine Restaurant or Bistro 1682 before turning in for the last night of your private safari adventure in South Africa.
All Hotel accommodation on B&B rate is 5-star graded with a few delightful experiences inbetween.
Accommodation at Safari Destinations is on Full Board including all the wildlife activities.

Tour Description
When you arrive in Cape Town, you will then be met by your Safari Director once you have completed all immigration formalities. We transfer into Cape Town city and proceed to The One & Only at Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for your check-in.
In the afternoon, your Tour Director will pick you up and drive straight to Table Mountain where you will board the Table Mountain Cable Way to the top of Table Mountain. Enjoy a guided tour of the Table Top and spend some time to appreciate the beautiful views from the top of the Mountain at 1000m above the city below.
After your visit and exploring Table Mountain, you may then return to the bottom with the Cable Car and your tour director will take you through the historical city of Cape Town on the way back to the hotel.
Once your room is ready we will head off to the hotel where you can check-in and put up your feet to rest.
Today you will enjoy a guided full-day tour around the spectacular Cape Peninsula with your Safari Director.
You will follow the scenic Atlantic coastline and travel over the spectacular Chapmans Peak drive to visit the Cape of Good Hope which is the most South-Western point of Africa. Our journey continues on to the African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach where we do a guided tour of the reserve. Boulders Beach is one of Cape Town's most visited beaches and the place where kids can enjoy the beach while watching the cute penguins.
From the Penguins we travel through the suburbs of Simonstown and Fish Hoek to our lunch at the Foodbarn Restaurant below the foot of Chapmans Peak OR the Harbour House Restaurant located in the beautiful Kalk Bay Fishing Harbour. After lunch, we return to the hotel via the oldest wine region in South Africa, the beautiful Constantia Wine Region.
You may take a stroll to the V&A Shopping Mall where you may enjoy your dinner at any of the top restaurants located in the V&A Waterfront.
You may check out of your suite after a leisurely breakfast and we leave the city of Cape Town driving through the beautiful Cape Winelands to the second oldest town in South Africa, Stellenbosch.
Take some time to explore the beautiful and historic town before we drive to Hazendal Estate where there are many fun activities for the children while the parents have an opportunity to taste some award-winning wines. From here we drive over the mountain to Franschhoek and check-in at Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa.
We have time to explore the beautiful sights of this hotel and take in the spectacular views from the terrace in the late afternoon.
Franschhoek valley is a traditional wine region in the Western Cape Province famously known as the French Corner of the Cape where the original French Huguenots were located in the 1680's. It is also considered to be the culinary capital ofSouth Africa.
We can have a leisurely start to the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then we drive down the Franschhoek Valley to the Drakenstein Correctional Centre.
This is where Mr. Nelson Mandela took his first steps as a free man after 27 years of incarceration ushering in the beginning of democracy in a new South Africa. From here we go to the Fairview Wine Estate and the adults may enjoy a Master Wine & Cheese Pairing while the younger generation may explore the estate and have a look at the goats in the goat tower.
Our next destination is an included Garden picnic lunch at Boschendal Wine Estate while enjoying the spectacular views over the Cape Winelands. After lunch, we return to the town of Franschhoek where we may walk about and explore the beautiful town of Franschhoek. There is an opportunity where you may visit Pigasso, the artistic pig, to have a look at the art that she can create. Later in the afternoon, we return to Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa for a well-deserved rest.

This morning we leave Franschhoek Wine region and travel through into the more arid region known as the Little Karoo. This is also the area where some of the best sun-dried fruit is produced in South Africa.
We make a stop at lunchtime in the town of Barrydale where you may enjoy a snack at the Country Pumpkin Restaurant before we continue our journey to Oudtshoorn.
We drive to the spectacular Cango Caves located in the Swartberg Mountain Range for a guided tour through the spectacular limestone caves.
After the visit to the Caves, we stop at the Safari Ostrich Show Farm outside Oudtshoorn for an included guided tour of the facilities and then we drive through to our hotel at De Zeekoe Guest Farm.
It is an early start for the Meerkat Adventures Tour that commences before sunrise and it is dependent on fair weather since these little creatures will not venture outside their burrows on cold and rainy days. (No tours on rainy days & Christmas day).
The meerkat tours last between 2-3 hours . Upon arrival at the meerkat burrows, guests are treated to a hot cup of coffee, after which they are issued with a lightweight aluminum chair to sit in while observing the meerkats as they come out of the burrow into the sunshine and then go about their daily routine of foraging and frolicking. These habituated wild animals are never fed or handled by humans.
After our early morning adventure with the Meerkats, we return to the Lodge for a breakfast. We then pack up and travel to the Indian Ocean coastline crossing over the Outeniqua Mountain Range.
We drive through the town of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay where we have a little time to play on the beach. From here it is a short drive to Fairview House located in The Crags to check-in for your two-night stay.
After a relaxing breakfast, we drive to Monkeyland, the largest free-roaming primate sanctuary in the Southern Hemisphere. You will enjoy an hour-long guided tour through the sanctuary and then you can have a light lunch at the restaurant while watching the antics of the monkeys.
We then walk over to the Birds of Eden which is a free-flight aviary covering of two hectares of land. Enjoy a self guided tour through the aviary to observe the many different species of birds living here.
We return to Fairview House later in the afternoon to have a swim and relax for the evening.
After breakfast, you depart for the drive to Port Elizabeth for a brief stop. We continue on to Kariega Private Game Reserve and plan to arrive in time for your included lunch.
Check in to your chalet at the Main Lodge. After lunch, we go out on the first Game Drive later this afternoon that returns to the lodge at sunset.
You will enjoy two Game Drives on Kariega Private Game Reserve each day of your stay.
During the day you have time to relax around the pool and have a little siesta after lunch before preparing for your afternoon Game Drive.

You are treated to your last spectacular Game Drive today in the company of your highly experienced Ranger before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
Check out after breakfast and we drive from Kariega to Knysna along the Garden Route and stop for a few comfort stops along the way.
We overnight at the Knysna Hollow Resort with large grounds where the children may run around and burn off some energy. This evening we may go to one of the fine restaurants in the Knysna Waterfront for dinner.
We have an early breakfast this morning and depart for the long drive to Cape Town.
Our first comfort stop is at the coffee shop at the Aloe Factory shop in Albertinia before we continue our journey through the vast wheat farms heading to Swellendam. We stop at Rolandale Farm Stall where you may enjoy a Roosterkoek with your choice of fillings. This is a typical and much-loved South African treat.
We arrive at the Steenberg Hotel in the late afternoon and you will have time to explore the beautiful gardens before it is time for your complimentary Classic Wine Tasting and dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast at the venue of your choice at Steenberg Hotel you may check out from the hotel and we will transfer you back to the airport for your onward flights.
