This Private Safari itinerary prepared especially for you truly celebrates the Great Splendour of East Africa.
You will visit a great variety of National Parks and Wildlife Reserves in both Kenya and Tanzania to view the magnificent African Wildlife in their natural habitat. These reserves are spread across distinctly different climatic zones providing you with a great variety of experiences. You even get to spend the night in "The Ark" located right in the middle of a mountain forest reserve with Elephant foraging a few feet in front of your window!
Your accommodations are varied and quite spectacular. Your meals are all included barring the two nights that you spend in Nairobi. You also get to experience the Masai Culture along with the many other beautiful cultures of East Africa.

Tour Description
We spend the day in Nairobi starting with a visit to the Sheldrick Trust to see the marvelous work this organization does in saving young orphaned Elephants and raising them successfully to be integrated back into the wild.
We have lunch at the ever-popular Carnivores Restaurant, or similar before visiting the Giraffe Center where the future of the beautiful Rothschild Giraffe is being secured.
We return to your hotel in the late afternoon so that you may have a good nights rest to fully recover from the long international flights.
After an early breakfast, you depart from Nairobi and drive south through Narok to the Masai Mara arriving at the Mara Game Camp in time for lunch.
After some time to relax you will depart on an afternoon game drive in the expansive Masai Mara returning to the Camp in the late afternoon in time to freshen up for dinner.
We enjoy morning and afternoon Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve.
The Masai Mara is very large with rolling hills and grasslands. Your Guide will advise where the best opportunities for viewing the animals will be and this may entail a full-day game drive carrying our packed picnic lunches.
We leave the Masai Mara this morning and head to the town of Nakuru.
At the town of Nakuru we make a stop at the Mission in Africa Children's Home for our lunch break. We meet the "parents", Damaris and her team, who have a family of +/-120 children and still growing. They specialize in caring for stressed and abandoned babies who join their family and remain with them till they are able to leave as adults.
Damaris provides a real Christian family atmosphere for the children and they have established and run a school to provide the highest quality education for their children.
After this enriching visit, we enter Lake Nakuru National Park and do a Game Drive around Lake Nakuru to arrive at our lodge in the late afternoon.
We spend the day in the Lake Nakuru National Park. The Lake attracts large flocks of Flamingoes and many other species of birds while being home to a flock of Rothschild Giraffes that have been relocated here from the Giraffe Center that you visited in Nairobi.
You will get to see the many species of wildlife in this beautiful parks and these include both the Black Rhino as well as the White Rhino,
Be ready for some truly spectacular photo opportunities and the wild animals with the lake as a backdrop.
This morning we leave Lake Nakuru and drive to the Aberdares via Nyahururu where we make a quick stop at Thomson Falls.
We continue on to the Aberdare Country Club for our lunch. After lunch, we transfer into the densely forested reserve to our very quaint lodge, The Ark.
Tonight you will be able to sit comfortably in the viewing room and watch the Elephant, Buffalo, and other animals feeding on the nutrient-rich banks next to the waterhole. The Elephant could be as close as three meters (10 feet) from your armchair.
After your leisurely breakfast, we transfer out of the forest and continue to travel northwards. The magnificent Mount Kenya will be clearly visible before we enter the area with very large flower farms producing fresh roses for the European cut-flower market.
We then descend off the slopes of Mount Kenya to the more arid regions of northern Kenya arriving at the Samburu Reserve and Buffalo Springs National Park.
We check-in and have lunch at the lodge and later in the afternoon, we go on a Game Drive. Be sure to look for the beautiful Grevy's Zebra, the Gerenuk Antelope, and the Kenya Blue Ostrich which are found here.
We return to the lodge at sunset to freshen up for dinner.
Today we explore the Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Park to find as many species of the special wildlife that live in this more arid environment.
This is a very special day because we travel back to the slopes of Mount Kenya and visit Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
This is home to the last surviving Northern White Rhino left on earth and the conservancy is also home to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary started by Jane Goodall. We visit both these areas and do a Game Drive before settling in for the night at the Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
This morning you will be transferred to the Nanyuki Airstrip for your charter flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi where you will be reunited with your guide. This means that you may have a leisurely start to your day with a relaxed breakfast while your guide travels the long journey south to meet you in Nairobi.
On arrival at Wilson Airport, your guide will load your bags you will depart for the drive to Amboseli National Park arriving late in the afternoon to witness the sunset and see the last rays of sun reflecting off Mount Kilimanjaro.
We leave the camp after an early breakfast and carry our packed lunch for a full day exploring the Amboseli National Park.
This park is renowned for the Elephant that have very long tusks that can measure up to five foot on length. You also have the most spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro from the swampy wetland created by the snow-melt off Mount Kilimanjaro that attracts the large herds of Elephant, Buffalo and many other beautiful species.
This is Masai country and the traditional Maasai Villages may be found all around Amboseli. Talk to your guide to arrange a visit to the Maasai to learn more about their unique lifestyle.
We return to the camp late in the afternoon to enjoy a last relaxing evening in Kenya.
Today we leave Kenya and you say goodbye to your Kenyan Guide. At the border post, you will transfer to the Tanzania-registered Safari Vehicles and meet the Guide that will take you through Tanzania.
From the border you will travel to Arusha arriving in time for lunch and some time to relax around the pool.
We leave the bustling city of Arusha after breakfast and head south to the beautiful Tarangire National Park.
We check-in and have lunch at the lodge and then go for the afternoon Game Drive in this beautiful park with the granite outcrops an valleys filled with wildlife.
Today we explore the spectacular Tarangire National Park on a morning Game Drive and an afternoon Game Drive.
The landscapes are beautifully dotted with giant Baobab trees and an abundance of wildlife. We return to the lodge in the late afternoon to freshen up for dinner.
Today we enjoy a longer Game Drive as we drive from Tarangire National Park up the escarpment to the Karatu area.
We check in at our lovely accommodation, the Ngorongoro Farmhouse (or similar) and enjoy lunch. This afternoon you have time to relax before the exciting Safari continues tomorrow.
This is definitely one of the great highlights of any Safari to East Africa.
It is an early start and we travel the short distance from the lodge to the Crater Gate and descend down onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor. We traverse the crater until lunchtime when we stop at the Hippo Pools to enjoy our picnic lunch.
After lunch we do a leisurely Game Drive till we ascend to the top of the crater rim and return to our lodge for a relaxing evening.
We now travel to the central region of Seregeti National Park and arrive at the Kati Kati Tented Camp in time for lunch.
After lunch we will do Game Drives through Central Serengeti and check in to the beautiful Sound Of Silence Tented Camp (or similar) in the late afternoon.
The Serengeti National Park is a vast area teeming with animals.
The Central Serengeti stretches over the Togoro Plain with a very dense wildlife population. The great annual Wildebeest and Zebra migration travels in a clockwise direction around this central region. We do a morning and an afternoon Game Drive to explore different areas.
Our drive today takes us back through the wildlife-rich areas of Southern Serengeti and Karatu to the edge of the escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara.
We will carry our picnic lunches and enjoy these as we travel through the conservancies.
Today we do the last full day of wildlife viewing as we traverse the Lake Manyara National Park. We will be on the lookout for the tree climbing Lions that are located here.
We will enjoy our picnic lunch under the giant Acacia trees and return to our lodge on the edge of the escarpment late in the afternoon.
Sadly your magnificent Safari in East Africa comes to an end today.
We drive back to Arusha Town arriving around noon. Enjoy your last lunch with your trusted Guide followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Nairobi where you will connect to your pre-arranged international flights.
