The Sanbona Luxury Safari is an authentic Big 5 luxury Safari Experience close to Cape Town. A 3 day/2 night safari to a private wildlife reserve located in the region known as the Little Karoo approximately 300 km from Cape Town.
A world-renowned private game reserve covering 45,000 hectares with the big five and numerous other unique species of fauna and flora located in the stunningly beautiful semi-arid Little Karoo landscape. A special highlight of this reserve is its “white lion” conservation and breeding program and the management of this very sensitive arid Ecosystem.
End your luxury safari experience with a wine tasting and a wine pairing in the Robertson Wine Valley on the way back to Cape Town.

Tour Description
Meet your Safari Director at your hotel and depart for the three hour drive to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve.
We pass through the beautiful wine regions of Paarl, Worcester, Robertson and Ashton before passing through the Kogmanskloof Pass with it's spectacular geological formations.
We exit Kogmanskloof into the region known as the Little Karoo. It is the area best known for the high quality sun dried fruit that is produced here. We pass through the town of Montague and continue on to the Sanbona Private Wildlife Reserve.
You arrive in time for lunch and some time to explore the lodge or even have a swim or siesta. Later in the afternoon you will meet your Ranger who will be taking you on your Game Drive returning after sunset to have your well deserved dinner.
You will receive an early wake-up call around sunrise to have some coffee & cookies before you depart on the morning Game Drive. You return from the Game Drive in time for a hearty breakfast.
Now you have a little time to yourself. You may want to book a spa treatment or you may arrange with your Ranger to to a Walking Safari to learn more about this pristine environment. Lunch would be served around midday.
In the afternoon you will go out for the afternoon Game Drive in search of the magnificent African wildlife. You will enjoy a scrumptious dinner when you return and retire to bed for you last night in the reserve.
You will be up early again for your last Game Drive to see as many animals as possible.
You return for breakfast and check out after breakfast to transfer to the Welcome Lounge where you will meet your Safari Director.
Our journey back to Cape Town follows the same route but we stop off in the Robertson Wine region to do a wine tasting at Van Loveren Family Vineyards (or similar). You may choose the have a late lunch at Christina's Bistro at the wine estate.
Your luxury safari ends when we drop you off back at your hotel or at the airport to connect to your onward flights.
