Cape Town Tours Overnight Safari to a Private Wildlife Reserve in the Great Karoo
Day 1 – 09:00 Pick up from your hotel in Cape Town
Follow the “Cape to Cairo” road out of Cape Town through the beautiful Cape Winelands. Our route takes us through the major fruit producing area of the Breede River Valley to the Inverdoorn Private Wildlife Reserve. The Cape Town Tours Overnight Safari commences in Cape Town. On arrival you enjoy a welcome drink followed by lunch in the beautiful open-air setting. After lunch, you may browse through the curio shop or have a swim in the swimming pool. We then prepare for our three-hour afternoon safari.
You will go out with your guide on an open Safari Vehicle to search for the animals . There is no guarantee of what you may see. This is part of the fun to see what you may find between the natural bush and vegetation. Finally, you return at sunset and have time to relax before dinner. Dinner is served next to the pool under a nomadic tent (weather permitting). Spend the evening gazing at the beautiful starry sky and a milky-way that stretches from horizon to horizon. Have a night-cap around the fire pit before retiring to your luxury chalet or lodge room for a well-deserved rest.
Day 2 Today you rise early for a game drive in the cool morning air while the animals are most active. The game drive will last approximately 3 hours and you return in time to enjoy a hearty “full English” breakfast. We finally pack up after breakfast and depart for the scenic drive through the historic Baines Kloof Pass. We stop at the top of the pass to enjoy the amazing views over the Cape Peninsula with Table Mountain in the distance.
Fairview Master Wine Tasting
We move on to the renowned Fairview Wine Estate for a Master Cheese & Wine Tasting in the well-appointed Master Tasting room. Should you still need a bite to eat after your wine & cheese pairing, you may visit the Goatshed Bistro next to the Tasting Room. If time permits, we can undertake an additional historic “detour” to visit the Gates of Freedom. This is the place where Nelson Mandela took his first steps in freedom on that momentous day in the history of the world, 11th February 1990.
Your Cape Town Tours Overnight Safari ends at approximately 17h00 when we drop you off at your hotel in Cape Town.

I am a travel agent in Canada and out of all my research you are one of the best in the business! We are both so excited and read so many good things about you and your company!

My husband and I originally booked a safari outside of Cape Town. The package provided transportation to and from the reserve. We had no expectations for the driver. In the end, we were blown away by our driver, Quinton. Quinton has a vast knowledge of everything and he went above and beyond to provide us with an unforgettable South African experience. Quinton planned out site seeing day tours that were packed full with activities, great food and lovely wines. We would highly recommend Quinton to anyone and everyone.

We were certainly well and truly asleep last night by the time you sent that email! We all had a fantastic time – thank you. I couldn’t think of anything I would have wanted different.

Now we are home, (sadly!) we would like to say how much we enjoyed the Cheetah Outreach & Eagle Encounters experience and the tour to Table Mountain/Cape Point etc.

Having just returned to the UK we wanted to say a very big “thank you” to yourself and Quinton for all the wonderful trips and Sanbona Safari that you organised for us.

Now I am safely home and back to ordinary life, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for a very extraordinary holiday and your part in it. I have had dozens of holidays with different companies in many parts of the world, but this was the best. You worked so hard to look after our many needs and requests, and added a whole other dimension to the programme arranged with information, commentary, humour, extra experiences and care. Even during my extended 3 days I followed your suggestions of what to see and do and that was very good too.
You turned a very good holiday into a very special holiday by ‘quintonizing ‘it. I would surely like to return to South Africa.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we all had an amazing experience on the safari. It was very organized and comfortable and I enjoyed every minute of it. Your knowledge and input made it a very special experience and I would recommend you to anyone who was interested on going on a safari. Thank you so much for everything and feel free to use any of my comments on your website. Keep in touch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first holiday in your country and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being such a helpful, highly organised and informative individual on our two week tour – we will certainly be back again in the future.
Thanks and regards

Arrived home safely, now looking out at snow and sleet!
Many thanks again for your excellent and expert management, guidance and assistance on our tour. You combined great local knowledge with attention to detail, and were there to solve when any issues arose. We are very happy to commend you to future customers.

Hi Quinton. Thank you for giving us such a marvellous tour. The information and attention you gave the group was second to none. What a beautiful country you live in. I am so glad I booked to see this part of the world. The scenery is magnificent, people of all colours so charming and friendly. The hotels were excellent and in good locations.

I had the privilege and pleasure of travelling with Quinton Conroy on our tour to South Africa in May 2009.
My husband and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed so many rich and varied experiences of life in South Africa and this entailed an amazing knowledge of so many different aspects of life in S.A. Quinton’s knowledge base was, for us, unsurpassed and he deserves to be recognized for his wealth of knowledge and his accessible manner in presenting it.
He has such a pleasing and approachable manner and went out of his way on many occasions, to ensure the comfort and well being of all those he came into contact with particularly those of us on the Tour.
I, personally, could have had a very difficult time on this holiday, as I have very specific dietary needs, but I learned very quickly that Quinton had everything under control and I was, in fact, made to feel very special. I met many restaurant managers and chefs who were only too happy to meet me, having been introduced by Quinton.
My husband and I can unreservedly recommend Quinton for his personal and professional qualities and his exemplary conduct which made our tour a never-to-be forgotten experience.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Vivien and I had a wonderful holiday in South Africa during May 2009. The tour itinerary was busy, varied and, both geographically and culturally, covered a fair chunk of ground.
We were very fortunate in travelling with Quinton Conroy for a trip of this breadth and depth. I well remember my first impressions of Quinton when he introduced himself to me in the lobby of the Forever Centurion Hotel in Lyttleton. His physical presence, smart appearance and welcoming smile set the tone for the remainder of the trip. Quinton was always very professional and business-like in all matters but, perhaps more importantly, he was also very enthusiastic and well informed about all aspects of his country. An easy going but confident personality allowed him to mix well with the varied characters in our tour party and provided the necessary degree of security required on such a trip.
Quite simply, we are of the opinion that our South African holiday, our ruby wedding treat, was greatly enhanced by having Quinton as our tour manager.
We wish him well in his future tourist ventures.

Quinton Conroy – Africa’s Child Safaris
I have just returned from a two week holiday in South Africa.
We flew from the UK to Port Elizabeth via Johannesburg. In Port Elizabeth we were met by a smiling Quinton Conroy who became our friend for the rest of the holiday. The “rest of the holiday” entailed traveling along the Garden Route to Cape Town. I therefore feel qualified to comment on Quinton’s abilities.
I have been traveling for over forty years and can assure you that Quinton is the best Tour Manager I have ever had the good luck to encounter.
He managed the tour in the literal sense of the word. His organizational skills were second to none. A good guide does so much in the background that the tour seems to run itself. Quinton belongs to that category. He even anticipated where there might be a problem and solved it before it happened. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
We were always fully informed about the program and any changes that had to be made. He was excellent at organizing the individual desires of the group members with regard to additional tours.
His local knowledge was second to none, be it about the flora and fauna or the history of his country. He inspired us too with the obvious love which he had for his country. You could tell that he wanted us to love it too.
And last but not least, his personality made him a pleasure to be with. He was always happy and smiling and was a really good companion.
I have no hesitation in recommending Quinton Conroy to any individual
You speak with such poetry about Africa.
What a powerful message you have given about the balance and symmetry of nature. Your insights provided a thoughtful commentary to the beauty, vastness and depth of this land.
A million thanks for sharing part of yourself and your country with us. We will treasure it forever!
When you come to San Francisco I will take you on a special tour of the Golden Gate Bridge.
