Authentic Luxury Safari from Cape Town
This is an Authentic Luxury Safari from Cape Town and a Big 5 Safari to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve where all the animals are free roaming. Sanbona is located in the Little Karoo which is a more arid region that is sparsely populated. You may stay in the luxurious Dwyka Tented Camp, at Tilney Manor or in Gondwana Family Lodge which is ideal for families with young children.
Three Day Luxury Safaris / Three-Day Luxury Cape Town Safari Tour
The three-day luxury safari from Cape Town to the Private Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. Furthermore, this reserve is also registered as a fully Non-Profit reserve which means that all the surplus money is re-invested in the critical conservation programs run on the reserve. They have also managed to successfully re-introduce the iconic Black Rhino to this Little Karoo region. At the same time, they have established the most genetically diverse population of Cape Mountain Zebra through a carefully controlled breeding program. The Cape Mountain Zebra only occur in the southern part of the country and the African continent.
Located in the Little Karoo
Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is located in the Little Karoo approximately 300 km from Cape Town. This renowned game reserve covers an area of 58,000 hectares (143,320 Acres) and has the free-roaming Big Five and numerous other unique species of fauna and flora located in the stunningly beautiful semi-arid Little Karoo landscape.
Your Safari Game Drives and Accommodation
The highly professional Ranger will conduct four Safari Game Drives with you while doing his best to find the free-roaming White Lions, the herd of Elephant, Rhino, Hippo, Oryx, and Springbok, as well as a variety of other animal and bird species. The accommodation is in the magnificent Dwyka Luxury Tented Camp, or at Tilney Manor House reminiscent of the Colonial era. You may bring your young children on safari with you and stay at the luxury Gondwana Family Lodge where they may enjoy special safari programs designed to stimulate their young minds. It is a mind-boggling luxury experience never to be forgotten.
Wine Pairings in the Cape Winelands
After your spectacular Cape Town Big 5 Safari tour at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, we return to Cape Town driving through the Robertson, Worcester, and Paarl wine regions. Worcester is also home to The Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden while Paarl is home to the very large and century-old KWV Wine Cellar with the beautiful Cathedral Cellar. The KWV Cellar covers an area of over 50 acres in the town of Paarl. We may stop at Van Loveren Family Vineyards where there are a selection of wine pairings to choose from. If you are a lover of cheese, we can stop at Fairview Wine Estate (or similar) for a very special Master Wine and Cheese Pairing. All the Wines, Cheese, Olive Oil, and Bread you sample during this tasting are produced on this estate.
